Now that Instagram has transformed into a short-form video platform geared towards creators and influencers looking to go viral, where do we hobbyists and enthusiasts share our photos and find other photographers?

The popular blogging platform Tumblr has announced that starting on December 17th, 2018, it will permanently ban all adult content and nudity. That includes artistic nude photos published by professional photographers.

Tumblr has just announced that it's introducing support for Live Photos, a feature Apple released earlier this year with the introduction of the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. Live Photos lets you watch a few moments of video that are recorded immediately before and after your snapshot.

This is Hafid. About 4 months ago, Hafid stole a phone from a German tourist who was vacationing on the island of Ibiza, Spain. Hafid didn't, however, delete the original owner's Dropbox app or disable the automatic upload feature.

Here's an interesting Tumblr we stumbled across that, for all intents and purpose, is trying to do the impossible. The 9 Film Frames Tumblr tries to sum up movies, capture their essence, by pulling out and arranging just nine frames.

A while back, Atlanta-based editorial and commercial photographer Zack Arias decided to start a Q&A blog that would, in his words, "add signal to an industry filled with far too much noise." On this Tumblr he's answered 1,000+ questions ranging from the relevant to the rude about the art and business of photography.

Now he's decided to take that blog project to another level by compiling 100+ of the best and most common questions he's gotten into a book called, appropriately enough, Photography Q&A -- Real Questions, Real Answers.

In celebration of its 125th birthday, National Geographic has launched a new Tumblr focused entirely on sharing long-lost photos buried deep within its archives. The brain-child of Nat Geo's photo archive curator William Bonner, "Found" already features 13 photos that may never have seen the light of day had it not been for this website -- with many more to come.

Back in 2006, a pornography publishing company named Perfect 10 attempted to sue Google over copyright infringement, claiming that the thumbnails displayed on Google's image search did not fall under "fair use." The New York Times has launched a new Tumblr site called "The Lively Morgue" to breathe new life into items in the newspaper's photo archive (nicknamed "The Morgue"). Each week they'll be sharing several historical photographs found in massive collection.

What you see here is every still frame of the famous 1939 film The Wizard of Oz compressed into a single frame, creating a colorful "barcode" for the movie. moviebarcode is a neat blog that publishes these images for a wide range of famous movies.
