Nikon today announced the opening of its new Nikon School Online, a new web-based learning program that offers paid classes to photographers who wish to improve their skills.

The new online school is an expansion of the Nikon School program, which has taught over 100,000 students in the United States over the past 30 years.

Courses will be geared toward photographers of all experience levels, from beginner to advanced, and can be taken from any computer, tablet, or smartphone.

There are currently 3 classes available: “Hands-On with the SB-5000 Speedlight” taught by Joe McNally, “Photographing Children & Pets” taught by Tamara Lackey, and a 15-minute “Getting Started with Your Nikon DSLR” video class.

Additional courses will be added in the future.

“Without traditional geographical constraints, Nikon School Online can reach a wider variety of photographers eager to get the most of their images and video,” says Nikon marketing director Kosuke Kawaura. “From amateurs using their first DSLR to enthusiasts eager to master their technique, these new online classes will educate passionate photographers and inspire them to capture the things they love.”

Visit the Nikon School Online website if you’d like to look into taking one of the classes. The full-length courses taught by McNally and Lackey cost $50 each, and the introductory DSLR class costs $15.
