Saramonic’s New Blink500 B2+ All-In-One Wireless Mic is Very Affordable
Audio giant Saramonic announced the new Blink500 B2+ wireless mic. The new device promises content creators and videographers versatile audio recording capabilities at a budget-friendly price.
Saranomic focused on content creators with its update to the Blink500 B2 mic, offering superb versatility for those who produce a wide range of content. The Blink500 B2+ provides four-in-one compatibility with USB-C, Lightning, 3.5mm TRS, and 3.5mm TRRS connectors, providing the ability to connect to cameras, mobile devices, and computers. As a result, it can easily transition from podcast recordings to vlogs.
It comes with two transmitters, making it capable of recording two subjects without any additional purchase. Additionally, it can stream or record across two different devices simultaneously. That means users can stream to two platforms simultaneously or capture backup recordings without additional products.
Saramonic improved the battery life on the Blink500 B2+, resulting in 40 hours of life. The system can record continuously for 20 hours, and the charging case provides an additional 20 hours. Should more juice be needed, it is possible to charge the mic while using it as well.
The Blink500 B2+ promises excellent audio quality with its omnidirectional microphone. It features 17 levels of gain adjustment and one-touch muting and includes a furry windscreen for cutting down on wind noise when shooting outside. Users can access Mono, Stereo, or Safety output modes and a selectable low-cut 75 or 150 Hz filter.
The two-stage Active Noise Canceling provides more control over background noise in recordings. The High setting eliminates all distracting background noise, while Low allows users to record some atmospheric sounds while keeping the subject on the subject’s voice.
Saramonic built the Blink500 B2+ with a 2.4GHz wireless system for seamless connectivity. It supports a wireless operating range of 150m (492 feet) working distance, providing more flexibility in recording. Additionally, the 3.5mm headphone output allows users to monitor audio, and the Mobile Device Speaer Enable makes it possible to play recordings on a smartphone or tablet without removing the receiver.
The mic is compact, lightweight, and features a metal back clip with magnetic mounts. A small OLED display allows users to check settings quickly. It’s available for $129, a steal compared to other wireless mic systems.
